A weblog of interest only to members of the United States Air Force's Full Spectrum Threat Response community, also known as Civil Engineer Readiness. Air National Guard and Air Reserve are welcome. This weblog is unofficial, but we're promoting it as an alternative to overused and ineffective Gigantic E-mail Distribution Lists.

Bug-out kits
This is the career field that obsesses about being ready for disasters. So tell your colleagues: do you have an emergency kit in your car, and/or at your workplace?
If so, please email the Editor, editor[dot]3echo9[at]earthlink[dot]net, with a list of what you've got in it.
We're particularly interested in the less predictable items you've packed into that kit, items that would be unique to where you live due to climate or likely natural disasters. We'd expect a crowbar and maybe a natural gas shutoff wrench for areas that are earthquake-prone, for example, or a loaded punch hanging on your dashboard if you travel roads that are susceptible to washing out.
